Worth the wait is this surprisingly good taco stand in Santa Barbara. Hand-made tortillas, unique spices and flavors and funky style combine to make a great dining experience. You can take out, but most of the many aficionados prefer to eat in, under the covered patio out back. The eclectic and loyal customer base extends from UC professors to hipsters to surfers to low-end locals – even the late Julia Child was a fan. Perfect stop on a run up the Coast.
