The Puyallup Tribe is opening its new Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington this week. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, concern for the public’s safety led Tribal Council to postpone the casino’s originally scheduled unveiling in March. The new $400 million facility, designed by Cuningham Group Architecture, includes 310,000 square feet of space, five restaurants, and a 2,000-seat concert venue. Hunt Design worked closely with the architect and tribal members to incorporate traditional and contemporary Coast Salish design elements into the signage and wayfinding throughout the property. More information on theĀ project and its opening can be found at https://www.emeraldqueen.com/.
