The oldest, and perhaps best zoo in the Northwest, the Oregon Zoo has selected Hunt Design for all-new zoo wayfinding signage. Scheduled as one of several major initiatives in an $125,000,000 bond-funded, fifteen-year zoo makeover, the zoo wayfinding project will touch all areas of the property. “In addition to static wayfinding, we’ll be looking into a state-of-the-art digital information system to give Oregon Zoo visitors real-time information on zoo activities and events,” according to firm Principal Wayne Hunt. Hunt Design was chosen after a nationwide RFP process.
“This is a great project for a great place — exactly the kind of work we want to be doing,” says Hunt. The firm remains active at the San Diego Zoo and has an extensive zoo and attractions portfolio.
