Hunt Design is interested in not just signs, but in overarching wayfinding strategy; we help many of our clients with verbal and visual wayfinding solutions including route and area naming, color-coding, and destination prioritization. Connecting visitors with the environment is at the heart of all of Hunt Design’s work. For tracking sign locations and sign messages Hunt uses strong data-driven software that allows simultaneous revision of sign wording on multiple documents. Signs are organized by category in groups and each sign is given a unique sign number tying into the category, message and location. The structure of Hunt Design’s programming documents help streamline the signage implementation process.
Design, Models and Mock-ups
To help clients visualize the three-dimensional nature of environmental graphic design, the team employs a variety of tools, including 3D software, on-site renderings, and physical models, to clearly demonstrate how signage and graphics integrate into their surroundings. They also oversee the development of prototypes and mock-ups, crafted by trusted third-party vendors, to refine final design details. These approaches enhance the design process while providing clients with confidence in their decisions at every stage.
Construction Administration
Hunt Design provides comprehensive signage project management services to ensure a seamless and successful process from start to finish. The firm handles all aspects of the process, including preparing bid packages, leading pre-bid tours with the project team, reviewing bids, and recommending the most suitable sign contractors. The team coordinates the review of shop drawings, color and material samples, and mock-ups to ensure alignment with the project’s design intent. Additionally, Hunt Design inspects sample work, oversees on-site installation, and prepares punch lists for final adjustments, all with the goal of keeping projects on track and moving toward timely completion.
